Gen5 Timing belt

have you ever heard that Gen 5's 2AZFE engine is using timing "chain" instead of timing belt?
Is that true?

Timing chains still need to be replaced (they stretch over time), but not as often as a timing belt.

Incorrect - a timing chain should never need to be replaced.
If for some reason it became noisy, then you may have to (expensive!), but it will last pretty much forever.

chains will stretch but because ya still on the correct tooth, its ok, all that happens is that itll get a bit slack (if that) but all good still.

where-ever there is a moving part, there is a wear and tear, and will need replacement in matter of time.
i guess if the engine dies before the timing chain, then it will never needed to be replaced.

Most of the time the chain will last the life of the engine. Ive seen plenty of engines with over 200K miles on them that have the original chain. Then again ive changed a couple due to worn chain guides (early 90's sentra), but even those were in the 150K mile range. As bronze said, any moving parts will eventually wear down.
