4th Generation dumb question: tranny fluid and filter

This sounds dumb but I am not sure what kind of ATF to put into my tranny. Here are the specs:
2000 Camry LE, I4 w/ A140E auto tranny
Is it just regular DEXTRON/MERCRON? +3 or is it some special kind? Also, is there an additive or premium fluid that would help with overall life of the tranny? Thanks, and yes I did a search about this topic but didn't come up with anything useful.

Cool

Dexron 3 compatible. Additives? Not really. Some can clean well, but they're not for life.
Best to find a good dexron 3 synthetic fluid.

holy crap, the 2000 camry still used the A140E transmission???? that peice of crap is whats in the Gen2's!

I recently had some slippage issues with my A140E in my 91 camry, so i added some Sea Foam Transtune, drove it for 2-3 days and the slipping stopped., then flushed the system. Now it doesnt slip at all...so id recommend some of that, and while you have the fluid out, might be a good time to consider an external transmission cooler.
