Hi,

I installed the Injen intake on my gen 5 non-vvti V6 Camry, and just now I saw the "check engine" light come on. It don't think it came on those other times I was testing it. Is this normal?

try unplugging battery? i dunno. i didn't know they made an Injen intake for a V6 non vvti

well, i guess i made it fit. i figure it couldn't be too much different from the vvti 3.0L. i unplugged the battery during the install, but i guess i'll check the MAF to see if it's tight enough. i'll try unplugging the battery again.

Okay, I disconnected the battery, tightened everything, checked the MAF to see if it's secure, and reconnected it. I get the same thing... I drive about 30+ miles and then I see the "check engine light." Is it going to go away?

it it keeps coming back on, then- no.

get the code read and see what it says....but as you said that you checked your maf, it shoulnd't be that....usually if the maf gets no, or massively incorrect readings, the car won't even start

The error could be yoru O2 sensors needing to be replaced.

I only got the CEL after I installed the new intake, so I'm pretty sure it may not be the O2 sensor.
