4th Generation Spark Plug Tube Nuts??

Hey; kind of a noob to this forum. I had a question for you guys that have done valve cover gaskets on the 5SFE engines. What size are the nuts that are on the spark plug tubes? I want to go get myself a nice set of sockets to be able to do stuff like this, I just want to make sure I get the correct size for those. Any help would be appreciated.

I think they're like 30mm or something crazy like that. I don't remember exactly.

You should be able to take them off with a good pair of channel locks. Once you get them off go to Sears or some other tool store and size it up. Then you know for sure you get the right one. Even if you only take one off.

Well tried looking it up in the handy repair manual I got on here and of course all they tell you to do is remove the nuts and grommets. they dont tell you what size they are unfortunately.

They are either 30MM or 32MM. Buy a set that has both sizes and you will have what you need. I got a set with both of those about 2 years ago at Wal-mart.

I would get the Densos. I have them in my 98 4 cylinder for about 22,000 miles and have not had a problem.
