3rd Generation new set of xenon bulbs wont install in my camry, helppppp

hi boys and girls, real simple question for all you experts.one of my headlights went out,so i figured id buy a higer wattage bulb,i drive in pa and deers run out all the time.so i figured to buy a higer wattage xenon bulb.i took the yellow 9005 bulb that was in the camry when i bought it.i bought a set of 5000k super white 9006 xenon bulbs.says they were for 92-96 camry.i went to install the new bulbs and they wouldnt clip in.looked like the piece on the bottom is too big to go into the clip on the camry wiring.has anyone had this problem??what should i do??please helpp everyone.thanxxxxxx

thats because you're trying to fit a 9006 socket into a 9005
check out the sticky on the top of this thread
it teaches you how to modify the 9006 into a 9005

It's easy to modify the bulb to fit check the camry FAQ. Next time just buy the right sized bulbs people usually do the opposite of what you are doing now, they convert 9005 bulbs to fit the 9006 low beams instead of the other way around.

It's not hard at all to modify them. I would rather modify that go out and get new ones.
