Parts compatibility Question

i did a search but I guess I wasn't hitting the right key words, so I came up with nothing

Anyway, my question is..... are there any parts that are interchangeable between different generations of Camry?

For example with my Prelude the brake callipers are interchangeable between the 4th gen and 5th gen.. Several engine parts such as intakes, exhaust parts and suspension bolt right on even though the cars look completely different.... I've even found some parts that are interchangable between Honda car platforms -- such as brakes (NSX callipers bolt right on the Prelude), switches, transmission parts and even some lights.


So, are there any parts between the Camry generations (or any other Toyota) that are easily shared?

If a decent list forms, maybe the Mods could FAQ this..

yes and if a list forms I will sticky it.

gen3-4

struts
springs
stb
5sfe header
rims
5sfe valve cover
brake pads (so I assume rotors and calipers and other assoc parts)
manual shifter assembly/shifter (with minor modfications) gen4-->gen3
etc...

I have access to a dedicated salvage yard cross match computer but the data base is WAY too extensive to catalog by hand.

how about engine parts? Is the TB the same as the one from the MR2? Injectors?
