Camry Cracked Manifold Why??

We recently purchased a '90 Camry (4cyl) and it has a cracked manifold. A call to the wrecking yards yielded me information that those cracking is pretty common. (all the ones they had there were cracked)
Im wondering why and or what the fix is, I dont want to go out and buy a new manifold to have it crack again if I can avoid it! Any aftermarket companies have a better exhaust manifold or ???
Thanks.

It happens...may be something in the design. Might just get weak and crack after 15 years of use and 100K+ miles.

Cool

They got hot, one section get's hot at a different rate and crack.
^ Always happens at some point. Especially if there is a small section of impurity in the metal.

put one off a different motor on it like a 5sfe or a 3sge and make the exhaust mate up to it
