E-85 is Ethanol.
M-85 is Methanol.
(85% alchohol - 15% gasoline)
If you used M-85, the engine proably wouldn't be running by the end of two years. Meth is highly corrosive, and Aluminum will not stand up to it for a long amount of time. Ethanol (grain alchohol) is corrosive, but not nearly as much.
You can not use either in a gas engine. You will run into sever problems across the board. From them fuel system, seals of various types, everything it comes into contact (minus piston rings and valves) corroding over time.
You can run gashol in a normal engine without a problem. That is typically 90% gasoline, and 10% E-85.
