No they're not hard to install.

I still suggest anyone with a laptop buying an SMT...

well i did read that post earlier and honestly i do not trust myself doing anything myself to something like that. I might over power it and break it The smt-6 would be nice but the laptop i have is really old and kinda busted. Im just hoping to safely be able to tune my engine since i will be turboing.

I had an s-afc 1 that was pretty nice. You really do not need one with the mods you have, and to properly tune it you'll need a dyno. Ground wires are garbage, dude -- get rid of them.

u say there garbage but have u tried it? They r really working for my car. My first and second gear were always studdering if the car was not properly warmed up, but after the install it was pretty much gone. its not all in the head and it does help. I will be turboed in the future with some forged int. so this unit will come in handy in the long run. Just wanted to know if anyone with a 3vz-fe has one and wat they think of it.

Yes i have tried them , they did nothing for me. Of you are planning on running some boost, you should get the s-afc now. Always nice to have supporting mods like that ready to go.

Sounds like you have a pretty fun project ahead -- let me know if you need help with the wiring for the s-afc.
