if anyone would know, you guys would ;exhaust question , helppppp
hey fellas,i got a very important question here.i want to put an exhaust on my 92 camry.now i know before you you guys say "are you nuts".hear me out.i dont want any kind of obnoxious, loud sounding exhaust/muffler. im looking for a real mellow, quiet sporty rumble.nothing like all these kids have on their accords or civics.im looking for a dual-tip mellow rumble kind of tone.ive heard of Monza exhaust.they look very nice and inexpensive, but again i dont know how they'd sound on my camry.i dont want to buy a $50-$100 exhaust and then hate the way it sounds when i install it.does anyone have a quiet (dual tip) mellow sort of exhaust??maybe you guys have a video of the way it sounds on your car??if anyone can help me out in this situation it is you camry experts.please help me out with some info, thanxxxxxxxxxxxx
About 85% of us have exhausts on our camrys... like what camry 4 ever said, do a search.

Here are some suggestions and RULES for universal exhauts.
1. 2 1/2 inch piping is your friend. Unless you're going turbo, stay with that size.
2. Find a GOOD muffler shop to do it.
3. There are NO catback exhausts that are made specifically for the Gen 3 camrys (except for Brospeed but no one gets it)
4. Any universal muffler BELOW $200, I would stay away from them.
5. Get a univseral muffler from Magnaflow, Flowmaster, BLITZ, HKS, Apexi, etc.
Follow these and you will have no problems... nuff said.

BTW, proper grammer and spelling goes a long way here. Just FYI.

damn! you are being a nice guy...
yeah...spend some good money on it. otherwise youll end up with a shitty sound couple months later...or itll bust a part like xrs22s did
hi fellas thanx for the help, magnaflow or flowmaster are too loud.im looking for a low sort of mellow sporty tone.soeone told me something about getting an exhaust with a silencer so it isnt too loud.i just want something thats not obnoxiously loud, just something that will give me a little extra zip to the sound of the car.
is 2 1/2" pipe what you want on an i4? I thought I remembered it being 2 1/4"... Im having the exhaust done tomorrow so I guess Id better get my shit straight
lol i bought my apexi for 30 bux off ebay...sounds nice too with a nice deep tone hehe
Then that's not an apexi muffler. You bought a knock off.
You bought an "APEXI STYLE".
Apex muffers generally cost around $180-$210... unless you bought a used one.
