That's where you're wrong. The 2005 gauges is totally different from the 2002-2004 models. One thing is, they have a extra gear on the gauge.
P R N D 3 2 1 That's right, the 2005 camrys are 5-spd while the 2002-2004 are 4-spd. Other than that, I'm pretty sure it won't be that difficult to hook it, but you won't have the same output as in the 2005. Also, the location on some indicators are different from the 2005 as well. The 2005 five have a indicator to tell you that your headlights are on. The gas indicator, oil, door ajar, and check engine are placed in different parts of the gauges.
My conclusion the 2005 gauges won't work as well as you want it to. YOu won't get the same lighting as the 2005. The 2005 gauges lights up really bright. The 2002-2004 doesn't light up that bright. It's always dim. As for the taillights, be sure you're willing to fish out $445 for both.
I'm just saying, I don't think it's worth the money to buy the gauge for the 2003.
