4 cyl springs for a v6???

I got a 96 V6 camry and I know that you can use the 4 cyl. springs for it (searched), but what I didnt read was if the ride is going to be different. Meaning can you feel the difference between the v6 springs and the v4 ones (in terms of bounciness and what not)??? Thankx. Oh and I am guessing that the only difference in weight is up in the front because of the engine, so does this mean that the rear will sit at the same level as the 4 cyl or will it sit lower too???

it will be lower, so a lower center of gravity, should be better? no? not to mention if you are worried about rolling and bouncy, replace your struts.

well the point of putting i4 springs on is a lower ride, but someone who has done it needs to post.

actually, the compression and spring rate should be the same same as the v6 springs...it's actually a length difference...

I have the i4 eibachs in the front, which I switched from the original v6 eibach springs when I wasn't happy with the drop

when I compared the springs, the v6 springs were actually longer
but the result was a lower drop with the exact same ride

^ luckily no.

For the camrys, the rear springs for the v6 and the i4s are identical.
They're only different to make up for the difference in engine/tranny weight in the front. The rear of the cars weight exactly the same.

Unless you were like me, who started out with the v6 springs, and then bought a whole new set of i4 springs to just replace the fronts.... But live and learn...

hahah i have thought about that getting i4 springs for front and rear v6... but since the rear for v6 and is are the same... its better off to get i4 springs...hoping the springs rate will be the same and will not be affected by length difference
