adapting after market battery

I would like to use a higher reserve capacity and cold cranking battery such as the terminator (walmart) but I have a problem with the stock batery cable what would you guys do
appreciate advise

You can lengthen the cables by using short connectors sold at Walmart as well. Make sure that it's secure or else you might have trouble starting your car.....

You can rewire all the power and ground cables also with thicker/equal gauge. I did that to my Gen4: power - 4-gauge to starter and 8-gauge to fusible link, ground - 2 4-gauge to engine block and chassis. Then add some fancy battery terminals.

I forgot to mention that I did in fact have to get some new battery terminals. It took a little while to "fashion" the old connectors to work properly. I think that it was worth it though.
