Routing XM antenna

98 with xm antenna on rear deck. Works well, but I want to eliminate dropuouts. Can anyone tell me exactly how to route the antenna through the rear window molding. I don't want to make a mess of this. Thanks.

i installed satellite radio in my car about 2 months ago and wondered the same thing. i had the antenna mounted on my trunk lid for about a week before running the antenna to the roof.

basically, you just have to push the antenna wire under the weather stripping all the way around the rear window until you get it to the center of the roof. i had plenty of extra cable to do this on my car. i used my credit card to help push the antenna wire under the weather stripping. once the wire is under the weather stripping enough it will sit flush with the body again and boom you antenna is installed. if you have any more questions just pm me.

hope this helps

you could also just get a stubby xm antenna and replace the antenna on the rear quarter panel and have all the wireing inside the trunk, ive seen the stubby xm antennas some where but i cannot remember just where

Thanks. I need to know just how to get under the weather striping from inside the car to the outside. Once outside, it's a cinch to get under it to the roof.

i also think there's a wireless antenna for XM radio out now as well. If you really don't want to go through the hassle of running the wires, you might look into this option.
