Making Exhaust Quieter

Alright, here goes:
As many of you guys know I have a Vibrant Dual Exhaust.... Its too loud and I cannot attach a silencer to it. I have heard that a resonator will make it quiter.... but to what extent?
I want a make it just a bit louder then stock... nothing more... Will a resonator do this for me?
What shop do you guys reccomend in the T.O for a job like this?
Is there anything I can do to make it quiter?
Anyhelp would be appreciated...
Thanks and please dont say "Get a new exhaust"
Peace

All joking aside, I don't think a resonator would make it as quiet as you would like. What is wrong with the volume? If it's too loud, you're too old.

Oh man that sucks. After all the time, work, and money you put into your car you should convince your parents that you will take care of it and have them buy another car for themselves, that way they wouldn't have to drive yours.

putting a resonator ( or another straight through glass pack the shortest one may be 12-14") )in line before the muffler might help as long as you have space
