no, never heard of it, but it sounds like a decent idea....

only thing being that if somebody had the diy skills to even just install the entire assembly, they'll know how to use spring compressors too, so I don't see the real point of it....

I got a mechanic so i can get them installed for a good price...
He has everything in the shop...
I was just wondering if it is a good idea to get them...

they are okay.. but all the hardware seem to wear out fast.. got some for my g/f 98 camry.. it was a quick change out .. but the parts look cheap..
but I got them like only 9 months ago.. and probably accumalate about 13K miles already..

how is the ride ? same as before ? nothing special ? just like OEM ?

sae as oem a little mushy.. but still oem.. at 169 per each saves the hassle.. but I prefer lowered springs and sport struts.
