No you don't have to upgrade the brakes, but you can if you want.

Unfortunately theres not much you can do to a gen 2 as far as brakes go. Rotors (crossdrilled, slotted, or crossdrilled + slotted), pads, stainless steel braided lines, and rear disc brake coversion if you have drums in the rear.

You can look into getting a big brake kit custom made, but thats $$$.

Up to you. How many miles are on the engine? If theres alot of miles on the engine I suggest that you rebuild it before you start boosting or just do a engine swap (3S-GTE ).

Anytime you add forced induction (turbo, supercharger, nitrous) your putting more wear on the engine.

My 3S-FTE is dead cos it was overboosting. I only wanted to run 4 - 5 psi, but I was seeing 10 psi. The spring in the wastegate actuator was to tight.

It lasted for 2 weeks till the engine just died one day. Oil all over the engine and inside the intake manifold. The pistons rings are gone.

It was fun while it lasted though.
