Big 3 Grounding Kit - Will it blow out the battery?
I'm very much interested in getting a grounding kit for my Gen 5, but I've been a little skepticle. I've been reading about the big 3 as far as grounding, and I've noticed that you're supposed to connect the positive post of the alternator to the positive post of the battery. I would imagine that this is a highly unstable combination and would blow out the battery. Now, I'm not very interested in getting battery acid all over me from an exploded battery... so... can anyone explain how and why this is safe? And whether or not there's a chance that I'll blow out my battery?
Also, I've been told that there's a certain order in which you have to remove and re-attach the negative and positive battery connectors in order to avoid the battery blowing up in your face. Is this true?

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

The battery is already connected to the alternator, you are just adding another wire. IIRC you should also add an inline fuse on that wire as well. Matching the fuse amp rating as the stock fuse.

alternater obviously generates power feeding it to the battery, (providing that + is going to +), you wont blow out your battery doing this. personally i wouldnt bother wasting time doing this but whatever rocks your boat, go for it!
yea, add a fuse. All ill say is that when working with that kind of stuff be a little cautious when putting the neg back on, it will spark a litttle. I have yet to get my alt to battery hooked up because i can find a decent place to put the damned fuse. Why can they just make a 100 agu fuse

How would i hook up the ends of my ground wires to those? The ends are rings.
The ground wires do not need an inline fuse. Only the Alt to battery, and you would want to mount the inline fuse as close to the battery as possible. The inline fuse holder will allow you to feed the bare wire into it and then it will have an allen screw that you will tighten down.
