5S intake manifold doesn't match up with the 3S head.

Pretty much, no. Except for the exhaust manifold, but the downpiping would need to be custom.

^ Actually the intake manifold does bolt up.

3S-FE and 5S-FE use the same gasket for the intake manifold. This means that the bolt pattern is the same.

5S-FE intake manifold has different parts (egr, egr vm, throttle body, etc..) attached to it though vs. a 3S-FE.

Maybe but why bother. Buy my JDM 3sfe head and intake manifold. Makes more power and torque(140hp and 138 lb ft) than the 5sfe anyway. And has a better looking valve cover

^ 5S-FE got 130HP and 140ftlb.
I don't know if JDM head is different. I know some power is from lack of EGR and different ECU tuning for higher octane gas.
Port and polish your own head and manifold will give more gain.

oh, well I guess the Torque is about the same then. I used the stock ECU and I used 87 octane gas. the jdm 3sfe was still much faster. I could tell it would have benefit greatly from something like an SAFC to tune fuel better. You can look at the intake manifold and tell it is different. Doing research I have found that the differences were in the slightly higher compression ratio, the intake manifold design, and better flowing head. I could tell the exhaust manifold was different also but I used a header so that didn't matter to me. This engine pulled really hard up top compared to my old 3sfe though.

Plus this is a spare head. This means there would be very minimal downtime for his car as he could do whatever he wanted to this head and keep driving his car while he did it. I would presonally just get this head ported and a 3 angle valve job, buy a header and maybe an SAFC and call it a day. The gais would end up being pretty huge.

I really don't know. make me an offer. I am just trying to move this stuff.

EDIT: I just looked up Cylinder Head prices online for the stock engine and they want like 250 dollars. I think that is rediculous so how is 150 dollars for you? I will throw in the brand new plug wires I had put on the car along with the distributor from my tuneup about a month before the rod knock happened.

Here you go...
