3rd Generation Suspension Help - Again.

Alright im trying to get my problems fixed. No one is looking at my other threads, just mixed info in there. so here is my final thread on this.

I lowered my car with stock struts. Did not replace the rest of the peices, did not lube the bearing. In 2 weeks im getting Tokico struts to replace all those. But in the mean time im trying to figure out why after just redoing my springs and putting everythign back together correctly I am now getting clunking noises when I trun my steering wheel.

Things I know:

1. Strut mounts are fine
2. Bearing is unknown, but there
3. Rubber Insulators appear to be in good condition and the spring appears to be sitting in those insualtors correctly
4. Spring is sitting on the strut and the seat properly.
5. Alignment is needed, but not going to get it done til I do my struts.

Now if I can get ANY help.

One thing I was thinking. The insulators appear to be good, but are a little worn. Anyway I can put black rubber silicone between the insulator and the seats to strengthen it?

Thank you

Did you put any grease in the upper strut mounts as you put them back together? That's what I should've done, but didn't, and got the same god-awful clunking sounds you're describing. I didn't take the top mount off, but just bought some white lithium grease and packed the mount with it. Now (several months later) it barely makes any noise.

By the way, good job with the drop! Looks pretty nice! I'm amazed you didn't break something doing this without airtools...

Planned on doing this. Could be the solvent. The bearing is what needs to be greased so I will do that. BTW the clunking is not loud. Can only hear it when stopped and no music on.

BTW thanks, yes no air tools, nothing would ofbroke besides my arms. But this is my 3rd install, no problems except for mine.
