I bet the SC400's V8 would fit, but I'd also bet that you'd have a heck of a time getting a nissan motor to cooperate in a Toyota...
my dad used to have a 98 max i was supposed to get it, thensome ass in a grand prix decapitated it (whole front end, just shaved off). Anyway, that thing was a beast! it flew. It would be soooo awesome to put one in and have it work...
Heck yeah, that'd be pretty sweet. Except for the fact that my Camry is the only car I have, and I wouldn't want to sacrifice gas mileage in it. Eh well...maybe you should just sell your cam and buy an SC400? It'd probably cost about the same to do all that, what with the cost of finding one of those 4.0L motors, and the exhaust, and trying to fit it in...

see, thats what i was thinking, since the 6cyl thats comes with the camry is a 3.0 liter, and so is the nissan one...and i doubt just supercharging this 4cyl is going to get me a 0-60 speed of around 7 seconds
so yeah, putting in the nissan shouldn't be that hard....right?
You would need to research on how you are mounting the engine.
In addition, you will need to understand wiring in regards to the harness and ECU.
It's not as straight forward as you perceive it to be.
You will also need to consider how you will install the tranny & diff as well.
It's enough work & money for you to invest that will raise the question as to why.
You'll never get a v8 into a Camry engine considering how compacted the Camry v6 engine is. As far as swapping in the new Camry v6, its the same as the Maxima. You're going to have a hard time. Its not just a direct swap.. its not that straightforward. The tranny on the v6 is different than the ones on the 4cyl, so you'd be swapping that as well. Your ECU will need to be swapped, and all that other junk too. People have done it, but most of them say that it wasn't worth it from what I gather.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.
i seen the bay for a gen 5 camry it has that 6 packed in, the gen 3 has way more space. but swaping in anything but a 3s is going to be alot of work has been done but lots of work. v8's will fit but you have to be the second to do the rwd converson on the car. do alot of searching on here and you can find with a few grand you can get it done and have the back end lifted up a few inches.
and mounting the 1mz even from the same year would cost you more than selling your cam now and buying back one with it in already.

I talked to a friend of mine. He has like a 93 Nissan Pathfinder. It originally came with a 3.0 liter V6. He got his insurance company to swap in a 5.5 liter v8 from the new Armada. They had to take off 2 cylinders...so he now has a 5.5 V6. Anyway, he got this done for 800. Not bad huh? Think i should try something like it with my cam?
