3rd Generation Throttle cable

So it starts it runs, i tried driving it today...put it in D and nope didnt go anywhere....woops forgot to put in tranny fluid! . So i fix that and take it to the street, went down an incline with my new brakes (w/o bleeding them cuz i was anxious ). and started on my way around the block, only on the way up to the first stop sign its all an incline, flooring it i think i hit ABOUT 1900 RPM and about 3 mph . Sigh, i get pissed and go back to my drivway at dangerous speeds of about 1-2mph, i get to my driveway and stop, not cuz iim on the brakes but because i have no torque at 1500 rpm and flooring it, after 30 seconds of flooring i finally get up to the top. IM still pissed then it occurs to me 30 minutes later to check the throttle cable, i revved it by hand and VRRROOOM it went which tells me i need to seriously tighten that wire. My question is just for quick reference when i do this tommorow, besides tightening it under the hood, if for sum reason that doesnt work or its tightened as far as it can go already, is ther a way to tighten it near the gas pedal??? ive never really looked under ther.

**another question:: i have a 88 7mgte supra, we through a rod bearing we believe (since the rods were sumwut recently replaced) so its knocking bad. The bearing is very simple to replace, but since the knocking, would that do a bad number on the crank????? enough so to replae it? keeping in mind almost immediately when it started we turned it off and only turned it on a couple times after that for diagnosis reasons. I have an extra 7mgte block and all accessories, including crank, if necessary, is it possible to replace that W/O taking out the engine or no? ive never cracked open a 7mgte, maybe sumone here has or has the know how

you may want to check the cruse controll that is where the cable from inside the car runs too.

about the supra the crank should be fine you need to worry about the front/rear seals from the vibrations also maybe the other bearings while your in there.

Cool

Be sure to tighten it in the cruise control, if you have that installed.
It could have damaged the crank, but I wouldn't think so.
Yes you can rebuild most engine's without pulling them if you're forced too. I wouldn't try it without a lift, and if you have a lift, you obviously have access to a hoist, and should take it out anyways!
