Unhappy Well, shes taking her last breathes.

Bad news. My Camry is almost toast.
  • Tranny slipping,grinding,ticking
  • Piston rings shot, fuel pump shot, valves bent
  • Timing is off, ECU freaks out
  • Clutch slips
  • All suspension is shot(rollin' ghetto style)
  • Huge rust hole(5" diameter), clear-coat peeling off

Well, she was a good ship.

I approximate ~2 months before she is completely toast in current

I'll probably end up fixing what I can. I can't get another car until after I graduate college.

Cool

That 150bhp must have been more than it could handle.
All joking aside tho, hate to hear it man.

Cool

Sorry dude, sheesh. Lighten up. Just a joke! Wouldn't have even remembered it if it were 800 posts ago.

You get into damage like that and it's major. That kind of shit kills resale so bad you're left with next to no options when buying a new car!
So yes, I am sorry the car is dead. I know how bad it sucks to be poor.

Sorry to hear, man.

I still have that other 5-speed laying around. If you want it, you can have it for $100. Sounds like there's more probelms with your car than that though.

I, too am about to move on. My 3rd gear synchro is out. I'm gonna fix that then sell the Camry and maybe buy a 1JZ clip for my Supra

my condolences man. I hate to see another Gen 2 bite the bullet. I just hope I can keep mine up...I actually plan on getting a 5 speed w/ a sun roof and stripping it down, painting it, swaping all my interior and exterior mods on...do the 3sgte swap and voila (the dream to end all dreams), but that is after having my baby in storage...and landing a paid teaching gig...Just hope you can get a handle on another Gen 2...you know you want to...I am actually itching to get a x-runner in two years, but I will always have my Gen 2...Im sure your Gen 2 will be reincarnated in some form..I have faith

Take it easy,

Matt

It's an S52. Basically the 4-cylinder version of the E153, and probably what you have now. You've got PM.
