Thumbs up Solara and Camry Polyurethane Dogbone Bushings

UPDATE #3: The latest e-mail from Mike at SuperPro reference our Polyurethane dogbone bushings: Guys if you want in on this please advise. Cost coming soon but I'm sure it will be reasonable! See UPDATE #2 below for vehicle application.

Greg,
R&D are waiting on the sample parts to come back from engineering and sample part department.
I have asked they let me know as soon as they see it.
The design is very cool, I think you will like it.

Have you any idea on annual volumes this part can generate ? Please advise on initial possible sales number.
Yours Faithfully,

Michael Stone

UPDATE #2. My guy at Anythingtoyota.com sent me an e-mail about the dogbone I sent for R&D.

Greg,

This is globally what the parts number 12363-20020 fits on US spec. Toyotas.

8/96-7/01 Camry V6
6/98-12/02 Solara V6 Cp ATM

These are the only Toyotas it shows to fit.

Hope this gets what yo need.

BG

UPDATE!!! I had e-mail contact with Mike in the land down under yesterday. He has received the dog bone shipped and turned it over to his R&D team.

How many of you V6 automatic transmission Gen 1 guys are interested? I'll take a count and pass it on to Mike.

I'll have more soon.

Any idea if they have any poly inserts that'll fit a '96 manual tranny 5S-FE dog bone??? I am ready to purchase some of these, but cannot find a supplier. I need poly since the turbo is generating too much engine movement.

I still have the tube of window weld waiting for me to install it on my dogbone.

I need a full weekend of downtime so it can dry, and i'm just way to busy.

I think I just found a source for the Superpro bushings. He listed me part # 1348K. I hope these are right!! He's charging $25 + $10 for shipping. Not that bad if they're coming from overseas.

I thought about the 3M windo-weld, but don't want to deal with installing it and maybe it flaking off later. I was reading on the internet others were having problems months later...but they were honda guys, so maybe they didn't know what they were doing just kidding...

sounds like the part number i got

or it may have been 1248K

not sure cant remember

there was a superpro bushing thread a while back with pics and numbers, and thats when i decided id get em next time mine failed -- which it did not to long after

oh yeah, go to a shop and get it fitted, its impossible to do without proper tools lol (you gotta bust out the old metal outer sleeves then compress and squeeze em in).

give the man a beer for his 5 minutes of work ^^

If you guys can post the part #'s for the gen3 dogbone, I'll return that tube of window weld and save myself the mess of installing it.

If I came at this topic with a "Anyone know anything about Superpro bushings?" then I would be included!! I came into this wondering if there were any bushings made by anyone specifically for the gen3 i4 dog bone.

One thing that does bother me is that Superpro lists the SPF1348K as having a dimater of 50mm "at the big end". I thought both ends were the same size on the stock dog bone. I can hardly wait till I get home so I can do some measuring!

the tower end is smaller.

the only difference between v6 and i4 dogbone is the length.
