I was wondering, are the a/c controls supposed to light up? Because mine don't, only the two buttons above the controls light up. If not, how hard would it be to install a light down there? I don't see why they aren't lit up from the factory in the first place.
Yes, I am talking about the knobs, and the pictures above that let you know what fan speed, temperature and vent control. I know the knobs don't light up because there is no light in the knobs. But it would make sense to me if the part above that lit up.
Ok, I took pictures. My car has some screwy electrical problems apparently. The shift indicater does not always light up, either. Here's the radio and a/c controls without interior lights on:
It's blurry but you get the idea. You can also see that the shift indicaters are not lit up. Here is another of the shifter in total darkness, in which the indicater problem is more apparent:
prolly just a blown bulb or fuse, check all your fuses .... just pull them all out one at a time and check them. if not maybe buy a cheap voltmeter if you dont already have one. and check for voltage at the light socket.or if the bulbs are blown. also this would be a kick ass time to replace the lights with blue/red/green/yellow/white/ect leds to make your car look le pimp.
oh do a search on what type bulb it is.

Awesome, thanks. I will check it out. I'm probably going to put blue EL gauges in so making the controls blue would be sweet. Blue radio is going to have to wait a while. Only thing is, I'm not sure how well blue will look inside a car with tan interior. I'd like to have some green or orange EL gauges instead but I haven't seen any.
