I have had my '87 Camry DLX for about five months now. It has 103XXX miles, the 3sfe motor, and a 5-speed. The clutch was just replaced. So far I'm pretty happy with it. But I've got a few questions: 1) What's maximum engine speed on these two-liter tire eaters? Since I have the standard model I've got no tach, any idea where I could find one cheap? I don't need a 5" Auto Meter monster tach with playback and a shift light but anything would be nice right now. 2) What's the final drive in this thing? It must be 4.0 or lower, right? Feels like I gotta shortshift it around town all the time. 3) Anyone know of cheap mods for these older Camrys? So far all I've got is a cone air filter. The car needs new struts up front and the rear brakes need to be adjusted because when you're on them at less than 25 mph they groan loudly. (Given the miles the shoes might need to be replaced.) I'm a college student so I really can't afford to throw gobs of money into this thing. Thanks in advance for your advice
