What does this hose do?

Well, if you've been following my thread about no passing power, then you know what I'm about to ask. But I'd like the advice of the rest of the board, too. So here goes. Last month I bought one of those eBay SRI systems for my 1mz and installed it myself. It went fine, except for this one hose that connected to the factory airbox...there's no place for it on the SRI pipe. Lacking a vaccum gauge, I listened to see if it was sucking or blowing air, and couldn't see that it was, so I just left it alone. Enjoying the added response and the fact that I could actually hear my engine, I ignored it. Well oops, my mistake. Now I think that hose is making my CEL come on. I say "think" because, as some of you know, the light has been on ever since day 2 of owning the car. I originally thought it was just a malfunction. But, a couple of weeks ago I noticed that I had a serious lack of power in the high end, and then I knew something else was wrong. So the other day I went to AutoZone and had them scan my car, it came up with codes 125 and 171, both of which indicate a possible bad O2 sensor, or an ECT sensor malfunction. I checked the ECTS, and I'm pretty sure it's not that. Here's a picture of the hose I'm referring to:

It's the one that's coiled up, connected to that orange thing. It can also be seen here, dangling, since I didn't know what to do with it:

What exactly is this hose, and what should I do about it? I tried plugging it, but all that did was make my car run poorly, so quite obviously it's important. I'm in desperate need of some help here. I really don't want to, but if I can't get this thing to work, I'm going to put the stock airbox back on.

Bump...come on guys. 32 views and nobody knows what the heck that thing is? I'm thinking it would be alright to just drill a hole in the pipe and somehow custom make a fitting, but that would require taking it off anyway, so I'm putting the stock box back on today after I get a new filter for it.

You got a blue hose between the filter and MAF, tee your extra hose there. Unless it go in between MAF and throttle body then you tee it to the other blue hose.

Thanks, finally a straight answer. It goes into the factory airbox, where the filter is housed, so I guess that could qualify as in between the MAF and the filter. But where could I find a tee like that?

Thanks for the help guys. I didn't know you could buy something like that at autozone. I learn something new every time I come here. Isn't there an FAQ for installing SRIs? If so, this bit of info should be added so that other 1mz owners don't suffer the same fate. Here's the fix:

Seems to be working great so far.
