I have recently bent my retractable antenna on my 93 V6 LE (dont ask it's too embarassing) the motor still works. . . for now. . . but the antenna will dont go down. After searching I have become aware of the s2000 convro, but the rectractable feels more classy to me. however does anyone know how much work is involved in replacing the mast itself, b/c the motor still works great (so long as it doesn't burn itself out trying to move a mast that wont move).
How much work is this and will I have trouble finding another mast intact?
Any imput is appreciated

Can't remember the price, think about $50-60 CDN for a new mast.
It's easy to install. Unscrew the nut (it has four slots) on the outside. Turn the radio on and the motor will drive the old mast out. Extend the new antenna and put the nut on it, then feed the drive belt into the motor mechanism (I think the teeth face rearward, going by memory). Screw the nut down partially with your fingers. Then turn off the radio and help the drive belt engage by gently pushing down on the botton antenna section. Once it catches the antenna will retract. It will stop when the tip meets the nut. You can finish tightening the nut.
When tightening the nut try and hold the tip of the antenna stationary so the drivebelt does not twist.

Ive found the mechanics of the antenna to be weak sauce, but i get better radio reception from my metal mast than my father's 03 with the in-glass antenna.

Pep Boys sells a replacement mast for the generation 3 for $15. It looks like an exact duplicate of the OEM one. I found this out after I replaced mine with an OEM Toyota one for around $40.
The only thing I would add to 500KCamry's instructions is to notice which way the teeth go when the mast is extracting itself.

Wasn't it you that gave me the easy way to change the antenna?
Thanks again
