Auto Tranny Probs.

I got this problem with my auto trans. I've read the hayne's but they dont seem to know.

I put slick 50 : in the trans. Then awhile later, reverse only works on start-up and 3-4 are slipping about 2000 rpm's above normal. My friends say I need to just do an engine& trans swap maybe a 4a or 3s. I think it is just the 3-4 shift soleniod. The cheapest I can fix it the better. Thanks for any and all help received. Oh yea 1-2 shifts are strong and solid (no slippage or change to normal rpm's)

Try draining your tranny fluid and refilling it with the recommended transmission fluid. May i ask why you decided to put "snake oil" in your tranny?

Might want to read this:

2 down, more to come. Chances are, if someone is convinced that a certain yellow liquid can make the car more responsive, i'm sure piss will do the trick.

something happened to me too. The reverse gear was the first to slip, then as i drove it more and more the the reverse was gone and other gears started to slip. I suggest u get it looked at while the damage is still small. And the problem with mine was the OD was shattered into the Tranny. Good Luck!

i never trust those products that claims to make yoiur car better shift better , run better.. IMO they are all Sh!t to me like JTTOKA might as well use Piss, IMO Get your tranny flush.. no its not just draining out the oil and filling it with ATF.. cuase just draining it wont drain all of it. its actually hooking it up in a Machine and Pumping/Vacuming out all the Old ATF and Pumping it with new ATF.. i havent done this to my Camry but i have done this to my accord just Recently using Dexatron III ATF for my accord.. and it sure helps alot for my accord.. and im sure it would apply to the Camry as well too. hope this helps

Yes... if it happened right after you put Slick 50 in, better put the recommended transmission fluid back in the car. Take it to the dealer or someone who knows how to do it right. Replace the transmission filter too while you're at it. Replace the fluid with what is recommended in the book and don't be tempted by those synthetic fluid, etc.

Good luck

Starbucks Mocha Frap

Monday the car goes to the shop for a check up. The first thing I did was drain & refill, then drain & refill, replacing the filter each time. So now its time for the pros. I think it just needs a Starbucks Mocha Frap.
