4th Generation Only high setting works on the Fan

Alright...well...recently the first 3 settings on my climate control have went out. It is either blasting out on High or nothing at all. Did the resistor pack blow out on the first three settings? or is it something else. Any ideas how to get this fixed and maybe how much?
TIA

It is usually the resistor, like you said. The dealer wants about $50. I think there are some cheaper aftermarket ones out there. Shop around.

This is correct. It is the blower motor resistor. I didn't know of any available aftermarket. If someone does I would appreciate them posting the source.

Where abouts is this resistor in the car? Under the hood or under the steering wheel or dash. Or is it in the climate control box thing itself where you actually turn the dial?

The resistor pack sits in the blower, usually accessible by the passenger footwell in the car. If you're any good, you can try and replace each invidual resistor yourself. I did that in my dad's Maxima years ago. Worked like a charm. Resistors are cheap, same with a soldering kit...you might as well try for fun, since you're planning on buying a new pack anyway. As well, go onto some engineering site and find out how to read the resistor bands....
