Anyone care to see a 3vz-fe from the oil pan? Here!
What could possibly be hiding up there????
Try the beefyest stock rods in any Toyota v6 I've seen. =) I'd pull one out... But I'm not taking my front head off. I've seen new ones before. Aaaaanyways. Got the oil supply return installed on the oil pan.

minus the things sitting ontop of the rods themselves

Assuming the entire con rod is strong, they won't spin, bend or snap in half with increasing load.

Somewhere over 420bhp.
The pistons & rings are much weaker than the rest of the engine.
Large enough so that probably only McElligott, an MR2 - 3vz-fe swap, or another M/T will ever find the limit. (At least it looks like so far).
