and i come up to a deer on the OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD, FACING THE OTHER WAY. So, I reduce my speed to 35 and i'm almost past it when all of the sudden the thing about faces and jumps right in front of my #$%@#$@#$@#$@#$ car. Fortunatly i was able to scoop the deer up. It did a flip in the air landed on my hood then, after a brief pause ran away.
Here's the pics from the morning after:
I think i'm pretty fortunate. It looks like it nothing that a little muscle, bondo, and paint wont fix.
Consider yourself lucky. In 1995, my family's friends were in the upper peninsula doing about 50 and hit a deer that totaled the whole front end of their blazer

My grandmother had one hit her in the side of her early nineties Grand Marquis. had to replace the hood , drivers front fender, and both drivers side doors. And it was not driveable. HAve seen some pretty bad damage caused by deer. Lots of them here in Tennessee.

Do what we do. Buy the gay little $1 whistles that work over 35mph and stick them under the front of the car. They've helped me out the last two years. I always thoguht it was a crock of shit... But they seme to work OK.
I haven't seen a deer at night in a long time. (near the road)

Of course you know here he could have taken it home legaly and never had to call the cops. GOtta love those redneck road kill laws. If you hit and it dies take it home, dont have to call anyone about it.

If you think fast food is when you hit a deer at 65 mph... You might be a redneck.
That's rough... the deer population here in MD is getting pretty high. So that means, soon enough, they will have to be . . . uhhh . . . taken care of .

wow, that suprises me, i rear ended a ford contour in a u-haul when i hit a patch of black ice, i totaled the thing, but i returned the u-haul and they didn't even notice. Those things are tanks.

holy crap... that's insane. Imagine what the driver looked like. Probably had to wipe the stomach acid off his face. that's crazy. that's if he survived.
-- Stryker360
yeah, it's suprising. I notice them more when I'm up in the montgomery village area than i do out here in brunswick. They're always right by the road too.

haha, nice, anyone ever hit one then get in a boxing match with one? IT's like kangaroo road rage. Thanks for the compliments on the paint.
