What up everyone. I need some help with the headlight conversion im bout to do. Im plannin on putting in the R34 skyline headlights. I think those would go good with the body kit i have. I know theres a bunch of custom work to be done to the body but im wondering about wiring it up. Is that all custom too and how much would the total modification cost. Im thinkin anywhere between 1500 and 3000 depending on the paint and how expensive the shop would charge an hour. Help me out everyone.
Have you seen the pictures of the gen 4 with R34 headlights? Maybe someone can post it for you. The Camry with the S15 conversion looks better in my opinion.

If anyone knows someone who has a cam with a headlight conversion (skyline r34, s15, ect) tell them to post it or give me there name so i can talk to them. Also does anybody know what type of wiring is involved. Ive heard from different people that theres certian electrical stuff that has to be modified . I know theres some but i dont know exactly what. I want to learn as much as i can about this so i dont get ripped off by a shop.

If some wiring involved, it should be the headlights and signals. That should be easy, but why spend 3 grand on the conversion before performance????
My homie from Team Techna. His car is long been retired.
It cost him a lot of money. Not worth it unless you're showing your car at shows.

I'm sorry, I really don't mean to flame you now, but unless you're building a show car and have the disposable income to spend an exorbitant amount of $$ (personally, I think 3 G's is a pretty modest estimate simply considering how difficult it is to get your hands on a pair of oem Skyline headlights) on a headlight conversion, you're being a total fool. Granted it may just be me personally, but I've never been an advocate for headlight conversions. Sure it turns some heads at a car show, but c'mon now, at the end of the day your Civic will still be a Civic, and your Camry will utlimately still be a Camry, no matter what headlights you put on it. Modding a Camry is all about being unique. In my opinion, there's nothing unique about puting R34 headlights on your Camry aside being able to tell your friends "yeah I'm the dude who has a Skyline front-end...ON MY CAMRY!"
My advice: do some research in the field of HID projector retro-fitting. Even if you pay somebody to do your labor, it'll still less than half of what it would cost to custom mold R34 headlights into your Camry (not to mention they're right-side-drive so you're going to give off a very funky cutoff). You're going to have a much greater useable light output and HID projectors are far sexier, not to mention, way more practical than making your car look like something it's not.
