i have noticed a problem with my car. what happens is when it is left in the hot weather under the sun for 3-4 hours some smoke will come out of the exahust.

is the smoke only initial, or is it constanly pouring out under acceleration?

i fyou only get a small puff early on, that should be ok. but if theres more still coming out, you may have to get that check out ^^

seafoam is an engine cleaner but the only reason I ask is if you did use it, it generates a lot of smoke for a good amount of time.

i'm not sure they might have used it at the shop when i got my exahust installed

You got a new muffler installed? How long ago was it and did the smoke start after the install?

i did this lik 4 months ago and is started up 2 months ago. it is a single puff that cumes out it's not constant

a single puff is fine, its just leftover oil being burnt off. common in older 4 bangers.

Toyota told me that it's some kind of seal that is going bad when the car smokes at startup for a brief second after sitting for more than just a few hours (usually overnight). They said it's pretty expensive to fix so just live with it until it gets worse. They said it happens all the time.
