Arrow Putting Seafoam => trouble down the road?

I have been reading up about seafoam and how it has help in cleaning the engine, fuel system, etc. Not getting much information about the side effects of it. Read most of the 116 threads.

Wondering if anybody who have used seafoam and ran into problems down the road.

i.e. O2 sensor giving problems.
Engine Oil leak if you put it in the engine.

Just share your thoughts.

If you had some problems, please state:

Model:
Year:
When Seafoam was used (miles):
When the problem occured (miles):
Problem caused by seafoam:
Cost to fix it:

Thanks.

I've used seafoam about at about 122000 miles and have had 0 problems from using it. I just let it sip nice and slow trough the brake booster and it work fine with me. Even stalled it once. The biggest concern I belive to it is Hydrolock if you like just jam the brake booster tube in the can and let it eat an entire can.

I'm still confused about how exactly that stuff works...where do you put it in (besides brake booster)? My intake and TB are incredibly dirty, what would be the best way to clean them out using seafoam? Wouldn't it be better to just take them off and soak them in degreaser?

IIRC what seafoam does is clean off carbon from the valves in the engine. Like it sucks it in and after you put all of the recommend amount in...you shut it off for a while, this is when the cleaning does its work. It eats away at the carbon deposits all over the valves and such. I did do all 3...poured it in the crankcase, through the brake booster, and through the gas. I have a 5 dollar can of throttle body cleaner I got from pep-boys that sparys down the throttle body well. Much more responsive now. But if you want your intake spotless, your best bet is taking it off and soaking it like you said...but it would be damn hard to clean your valves though.

ranger buy and can and read it, the can tells you more or less what you need to do just dont pour it in too fast. also a can or 2 of carb clenaer and an old tooth brush spray it out and scrub with the brush.

i started around 130k at 150k now not a problem i actualy have added so much to my oil you think i'm crazy (lil over 1/3 can) and not a leak to be found. i have also pured in 1/2 can once in the intake and not a problem.

1mz actualy have a nifty port on the top of them for this.

you can see the uncoverd port on the tb, this normaly has a black boot over it. i just take that off attach anothe pice of hose and pour it in through that.
