i am posting this thread to asses intrest in aftermarket headers for gen 3 and 4 5sfe-NA, 5sfe-turbo, and 3vz and 1mz NA. I would like to see what the interest is. For now, all manifolds would be made with MILD STEEL... i plan on doing stainless in a couple months.
prices will vary slightly depending on when and where i can get materials... but for now...
estimate prices:
prices are for exhaust manifolds + downpipe (pipe that goes from the manifold to the cat-back exhaust)
for turbo applications i would need the turbo shipped to me for fitting. unless it is a CT-26, in that case I would be able to have it made without a model. for v6 engines, a free flowing Y-Pipe would be included as well.
G3 or G4 5S-FE NA Tubular 4-2-1 = 600
G3 or G4 5S-FE NA Log Style = 500
G3 or G4 5S-FE Turbo Tubular 4-2-1 = 800 + 100 for external wastegate. edit: poll says 4-1, it would be 4-2-1
G3 or G4 5S-FE Turbo Log Style = 650 + 100 for external wastegate.
G3 or G4 1MZ-FE NA Tubular 3-1 Pair = 900
G3 3VZ-FE NA Tubular 3-1 Pair = 950
PLEASE ANSWER THE SURVEY HONESTLY, AND ONLY IF YOU ARE SERIOUSLY INTERESTED. I know there is interest, and it would be good for the community, but if YOU PERSONALLY are not interested, then do not answer.
this is in no way affiliated with shiftgate, so do not post comments about that.
I voted 5S-FE na 4-2-1 but I gotta say, the more I think about it, a 4-2-1 turbo manifold would be nice for the 5S. I don't think I would personally buy it (wouldn't do my build much good), but it'd be excellent for the community.
i would, i even have an extra rebuilt ct26 lyin around but too much $$$$$$$$$$$$ with my 3vz-fe
woops u dont even have a 3vz-fe turbo option ....but if u did...then id be intersted...but i still wouldnt buy it ! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ this college student doesnt have
there wont be a v6 turbo option as its custom, but for the 4 bangers the mounting position is easy.
as for turbo manifold.. why teh fuck would you go 4 2 1?! just run 4 long equal lengths into the flange =\

well on that 5sfe manifold im not sure if i would go 4-2-1 or not.. i want to try a few different things...
there will be v6 turbo options down the road, but not for a ct26. we want to get our foot in the door by making manifolds and downpipes and exhausts for now... then turbo kits will come after we get some sales and funds...

What Dave is referring to is a dual merge collector. It'll just be the manifold going straight to the turbo, but in the manfiold two pipes will go into one collecter the other two into another collector and then those into 1.

just run 4 small diameter LONG primaries into the flange.

listen... first of all, dont tell us what to do. if you want that specifically, then you do it. second, we will experiment with a few different ideas and see how they work comperatively. from there, we will decide what is the best and go with that...
like i said this is just to gauge interest in these types of atermarket mods.
The 1MZ gen 4 Camry and gen 1 Solara community needs a resonably priced option. The JPP setup costs $1600 and Gabe bought the one and only set from Xerd for $899 but they list for $1200. There are many interested solaraguy members as well. I would buy a set from you right now if it was available.
Edit: I voted for the tubular mandrel bent set but I know there is debate over which is better, long tube or shorties.
