3rd Generation help...car running wierd

hello all, i have a 1993 camry v6(3vzfe) 5 speed 224,000 miles, right now the car is running really rough like when your plug wires are completly gone..(been there fixed that 7 mos ago). the plug wires(standard) dist cap(standard) and rotor(standard) were replaced 7 mos ago, plugs were done maybe 2 years ago( 20,000 miles) with bosch platinums(popped the front three out they look a little aged but when compared to new the electrode looks the same. also the check engine light came on stayed on for 2 like two hours, and then its normal again running great, i park it overnight start it up the next day its rough again and the light came back on.

its seems to be worse when going up hill or under load(steering wheel shaking violently thinking the car is going to stall..

sorry if i rambled but there is never to much information..and i would love any advice offered.

btw. the car is completly stock except for a k&n air filter and the large aftermarket stereo(now not in the car).

would a plugged cat act this way? sometimes have sulfur smell after a while. (bolts are rusted or i would have tried to run it to figure out the problem..

once again thank you
jamie miller

Hold on.. are you using Bosch spark plugs??? Please don't say yes.. Just say that you will be purchasing NGKs or Densos tomorrow... Alot of performance issues have been caused by Bosch plugs. Switch 'em with some NGKs and if you got the same prob, come back... That's my perscription.

As for the sulfur.. maybe a little SeaFoam in your fuel tank can clear it up.
