My 85 needed one, but that was after a lot of mileage and some of it on gravel. The 85 control arm only had one bushing, not two, and that placed more loading in it.
My 95 and 01, never noticed any problems, same road/driving conditions. Think you'd have to be hitting some major potholes frequently to do it in?
What conditions do you drive in?
