3rd Generation Do i need plates underneath my trunk to mount my new factory spoiler???helppp

HI BOYS,quick simple question i just bought a factory spoiler for my camry,used for 50 bucks it

was blue so i had it painted and now im ready to get it mounted.now my problem is arent there

plates that have to be installed underneath my trunk so when i drill holes in the top of the

trunk i can screw it in. isnt that how spoilers are put on i thought?all i have is the spoiler with

screws coming out.do i need the plates for underneath my trunk kid??help me out everyone

I dont rememebr ever using any kind of plates to mount the spoilers when I was doing it. NOw granted that has been several years but I put quite a few of the on. I think you pretty much just need the spoiler and hopefully you got all the mounting hardware with it. which should consist of just the nuts anwashers that screw onto the studs coming out fo the spoiler. If no hardware jsut get the right size nuts and some flat washers and lock washers slap it on and tighten it down you should be good to go.
