3rd Generation aibag disable and steeringwheel replacement....help

Well, I wanted to swap out the oem one off my 92 (with the airbag) and go with either a sparco or momo....depending on which hub adaptor I use. My question is how do I do this without being blasted by the bag.........I'd prefer not to have it depoly randomly. I pose this question to the NON NOOBS, as there are some members who have done this already

unhook the negative from your battery

thought you'd know this one...

but just remember that if you don't have your driver's airbag hooked up, it'll disable your passenger one too

After taking the negative off the battery, you have to wait at least 2 minutes, because the capacitor in the airbag ignition circuit is still active.

Next is to undo the 2 screws (usually under plastic caps) on either side of the steering wheel that I believe are torx.

Then pop off the airbag like a piece of trim (trim tool remover or tape a wide screw driver... Air Bag is worth $$)

Undo the yellow wire at the clip and your done.
