Possible Angel Eyes?

So i was rumaging through my old computer shit. I found an old 80mm cathode tube. I can mod it no problem. I think it will fit in the gen3 headlights? I dont know how big the inside is. Im also just going to use the outside ring.



Also anyways to make sure I can weather proof it, but probably will not need it since its in the headlight?

I like these cause they are cheap and bright. Not like the LED ones.

those look good. since in the high beams there is no thing covering the bulb, you might be able to slide it right over and secure it somehow. just a preliminary idea. does seem kinda big though...

I dont have a clue. Its the size of an average computer fan.

Huh. This seems like it would work really well. I've never thought about using computer hardware this way. You'll just have to make sure that you find some sort of transformer to make sure the voltage going to the cathode is the same as what it was designed to accept in a typical computer case (or maybe not I dunno).

Its ran off a 12v source, has an inverter and everything. When my new headlights come ill tear apart my old ones and expermiment. Only thing I can think of is that it might be too bright. Might reflect off the housing.

Make sure that it will handle the heat from a halogen bulb. Even if you put it around the high beam bulb which probably won't be on long periods of time to heat up a lot, make sure that the heat from the low beam won't cause the part closest to it to melt.
