l.o.power when air cond is on

hey guys! My 91 camry 4cyl auto has been giving me some grief when the air is on. It seems to hesitate pretty bad. I would say a vacuum leak but there aren't any I can find just by visually inspecting.When the air is turned off, the car is fine.Any help would be greatly appreciated

That happens with any car. When A/C is on you lose power. IMO there's nothing to worry about.

He said hesitate. Sounds to me like it struggles or doesn't run fine. Correct me if I'm wrong!

^ agreed.....wut do u mean hesitate? be more specific, alot of things come to mind when u say that

when I mean hesitate, I mean that upon acceleration from a dead stop, the car has maybe a third of the power that it usually does, untill the car gets into 2nd gear(automatic trans)then it seems to smooth itself out, but you really have to stomp on it. I guess maybe it's just more noticeable cause it's a 4cyl.

check the timing, bring up the ac on idle speed so it doesnt shake the dash and be sure the fans are running while stopped

also the a/c idle up might not be working had that go out with me on a 22r.
