problem/ Ignition?

Hi everybody


I have a 95 camry (4cyl) 192K, and just got it tuned up because it was giving me a problem that I taught would be fixed and it's not. My problem is that on occasion when I stop at a light the motor can "stop" and is having problem to restart. my mechanic tested it and tell me it could (not certain) be my ignition that at a low rpm just stops. I also asked another Toyota mech. and he tells me that he's not certain that the problem would be fixed. Does this problem sounds like one you might have had?

sorry, the part he want's to change is the ignitor.

sounds more to me the idle air controll is sticking. clean that out and see how the engine runs (serch on how too there was a real nice write up somewhere)

contact killacam he has a white gen3 he had the same problem a temporary fi is to disconntect the hose that goes to a valve on the tb and create a small vacuume leak till you find the real problem

Yup! sounds like IAC... also check www.autozone.com for step by step troubleshooting guide. It really help to eliminate the problems.
