Gen5 Front Lip MOLDING??

i recently jss got the front lip painted and installed. this was the front lip add on peice from australia for the gen 5.5 sportivo. SINCE, it was from aussie, the front lip was totally not fittable for the gen 5.5 here in the US.. they had no slots in the front bumper for the lip to snap into and no holes on the bottom for the clips to go into.. and the lip is also slightly smaller than the original OEM US bumper.. i dint want to jss waste $500 for the lip so i made it work ;] haha.. i dremeled some slots for the clips to snap into on the front bumper.. and i dremeled off the clips .. when i was installin it.. it seemed to me that i already had enuff support from juss the snaps in the front so i dint worry bout it falling off.. the fitment is OKAY.. kinda off by a little since it is slightly smaller.. i was wondering.. i wanted to Mold the lip into the bumper so that it doesnt show much of the definition.. i want it smooth into the bumper so it looks like 1 peice. does anybody know how to mold? how hard it is and what will i have to do??? please?!?

sand it all down, and if the fitment isn't too bad, just use bondo....

you should have had this all in mind before you got your lip painted, as you'll have to get your entire front bumper redone once you mold it

is bondo the molding stuff i have to use? and also.. the lip is Polyurethane *SP .. its bendable and all that.. and i was wondering.. is a heat gun strong enuff to maybe melt or soften up to mold the shape of the front bumper?? i was thinkin that and THEN molding the edges in so that it looks like a 1 peice.

Personally, I think that if you have no prior experience with this kind of thing that you take it to a shop and have them do it... as far as the heat gun, I don't believe that its going to do anything to the polyurethane.

use some 2 part semi- flexible urethane epoxy, get it from a body shop supply place.
Then you have to paint the bumper again... but you already knew that

Yeah, I've got a friend in autobody too. When I got my sportivo grill, all I paid was for materials, and he painted it for me. He's also going to install my sportivo kit when i order it. Since the Gen 5 kits don't come with the clips (I believe), I'm going to have him put some on and drill holes in my bumper. But I'm not going to have him mold the kit. I know he does that kind of stuff, but I dunno... I kinda like the definition.
