tranny starting to die

well today i had my long ass drive to school (40+miles) and on the way there it liked to slip EVERY gear. well more so it either changed hard from 2-3 3-4. and a small slip from 1-2 every time and when i tried to take the engine to the red line it would act stupid and change at 5k after sumblin for a bit. of course after i use the car after class it worked like new .... oh well it been slipping for over a year and i think it's finaly wantting to die.

i might get a flush this weekend. how much time will that buy me.

and if i was able to get one of them new 5 speed auto's how much more work would it take to make it work with my 96 1mz auto ecu?

seems to me at most i need is a new wiring harnest, new 1mz ecu, vvt-i heads, and the new tranny. or could i just get away with the new tranny and maybe the ecu ... or would there be another solonid i need to account for? bolt patterns should be the same since it's all the 1mz block.
