yes...or at least according to the shop manual.....but there's just about no way thatyou can do that without a lift though....you'll need the car about 3 feet off tje ground.

the only other way is to take the engine &tranny out from the top...otherwise, you'll have one helluva time trying to separate them from above

good luck

^^^ what he said there is probably no way you will be able to get the car high enough off of the ground to be able to pull the subframe with the engine and tranny. However you should be able to drop the subfram and get it out of the way then you will be able to seperate the engine and trans but will need to support the engine somehow once you get the trans out. I hope the made sense. Basically remove the subfram, the engine and trans will be supported by the upper motor mounts. At this point you need some kind of engine support, it can be an engine lift or I think there is something you could put on the inner fenders to supposrt it. At this point you should be able to remove the trans. But you are still going to have to be able to rais the car up fairly high so you can get the trans out from under the car so jsut make sure you account for that.

Its possible, but you need a lift and something to support the engine.

Check out the pictures in the thread below:

Or yank the engine + tranny together out the top. Its not that much work to pull it out through the top.
