Window Regulator Motor Only

I think the motor on the LH front Window regulator is going bad, as it sometimes moves only a few inches, then will work again a few seconds later. I see on E-bay the whole unit, regulator AND motor sold together. Can I just replace the motor only? Why take out the whole thing? Are the motors on all Toyota's the same? i can't believe they would design a different motor for each model. Could i exchange the motor from my rear window, since I rarely use it?

U better off getting the whole thing. I just ordered one off of ebay and it's sitting on my bed as of now(drivers door). It looks as if the motor shouldn't be removed, if you try to remove it you might mess up something, so just get the whole unit, its cheap anyways...

Yeah, if you're going to replace the motor, you're going to want to replace the whole thing with the regulator as well. I don't believe they come seperate anyway.
