2nd Generation Removing rear bumper?

I am doing some body work on my 89 camry, and i need to remove my rear bumper. How do i remove it? I thought id ask before i mess around with it. thanks

1. Open the trunk, lift the carpet -you will see 4 round black plastic covers. Using a taped screwdriver remove the covers, this will reveal 4 bolts, loosen and remove them.

2. Go to where the bumpers begin at the sides, there is one bolt on each side, you'll probably need to go underneath the bumper to see it. Remove them.

3. Grab the bumper and give it a few good pulls and it should come off.

It's been a while since I did this, hope I didn't forget anything

so theres 6 bolts in total? 4 against the bumper and one on each side of the bumper?

I had a look at my rear bumper just to make sure and I found another 2 that need to be removed. They are in the trunk as well, along the inner sides of the trunk. Smaller than the others, 8 or 10mm. One on each side, they hold the sides of the bumper to the car. Don't remove the one that holds the black plastic moulding to the car, they are right beside the ones you need to remove. So that's 8 in total. Give it a try and let me know if you have any difficulty.
