I am just woundering how good the muffler is since i plan to get it for my gen5. I need some sound and i do want to be able to hear the engine when i turn on the ignition. Stock only sounds good when i step on the pedel on fast. Please let me know your imput.

I think i have the 14872 race series or something like that its real deep, the sound ends at like 5k and then the intake seems to take over and its a pretty constant pitch. Deep low just gets louder.

Hey Lyons, do you have a v6 or an i4? And can you get a sound clip? I'm also very interested in getting a custom cat-back with a magnaflow muffler (since from what I hear, magnaflow is anti-rice sounding) lol

yeh please get a sound clip. And, also i wanted to ask, will it make any difference if i have the stock intake? Or adding something like injen or secret something improve sound?

An intake will affect sound at higher RPMs... an exhaust will affect sound at lower RPMs.

lol... if you have an intake, you really don't hear until unless your RPMs are high... same thing with an exhaust... the exhaust is loud at under 5000 rpms, but past that, it drones out and the sound of the intake is louder than the exhaust.

it'll sound good when you're accelerating but up to a certain point which is what he means. but when you turn on your car...........VROOOM!

I love my magnaflow muffler, i tried 3 or 4 different ones and this one sounded the best , I will post a sound clip on my site soon.

Low , low , low mean growl. Very, very anti-rice....LOL

Speaking of which ......I spanked a riced up Acrura 1.8 yesterday, smart ass thought he could spank the guy in a suit with a camry next to him.....hehehe ...SEE YA. I should of took a picture of the stupid look on their faces at the next light.

Hey spyman, out of curiosity... since you got a full custom exhaust, how thick were your pipes? I was thinking of changing mine to 2.5", but MagnaFlow only makes mufflers with 2.25", 3", and 4" inlets. Also, is that a 4" outlet on your muffler?
