WTF - toyota techs
My g/f took her camry in to the toyota stealership for an oil leak b/c I couldn't get those dang cat bolts off to pull the front exhaust. They said it's your power steering rack that's leaking and you need a new one. $800!!! Plus the engine is making a noise and they said it's the timing belt flapping and hitting the cover. That will be another $270. I told them that the timing belt was replaced by a different dealer a year and 3 months ago. Oh well, then it will only be $95.
First off, it's leaking OIL, not power steering fluid (ATF)!!! Second, why should she have to pay $95 to tighten up the timing belt if it's only been on there a little over a year. Friggin' IDIOTS!!!!
Enough ranting - I looked under there last night and I still think it's the oil pan gasket. I'll be cutting those bolts off this weekend with a dremel.
